TECHNICAL THEATRE SPECIALIST

Seeking a person knowledgeable of stage lighting systems, stage rigging systems including manual and motorized rigging, stage curtains and drapery, orchestra pits, audience seating, and production support facilities.

JOB DUTIES

• Assist senior staff with creative design, production, and project management
• Collaborative design planning
• Project drafting
• Stage equipment research
• Equipment cost research
• Document management
• Attendance at project meetings
• Interact and collaborate with architects and engineers
• Onsite facility reviews, construction observation, equipment inspection, punch list reviews
• Active participation in projects through multiple phases of design and construction

EXPERIENCE

• AutoCAD (2 years proficiency in architectural or theatrical project drafting)
• Revit (1 year proficiency or familiarity)
• Bluebeam (1 year or familiarity)
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s (work experience or foreign equivalent degrees considered)
• Theatre technical direction, stage lighting design or production electrics, scenic design or construction
• 1 year of experience or internship in a design studio environment
• Must be fully eligible to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation and live within reasonable commute of the studio office
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
